The Songwriter Collection (Sony BMG Custom Marketing Group)

Producer
Out of the 100 or so custom collections I compiled for BMG and Sony BMG, this one stands out for its focus on my favorite subject, songwriters. Limited only by the two incredible catalogs at my disposal, it features great tracks from Aimee Mann, Dan Fogelberg, Van Morrison, Lou Reed, Karla Bonoff, Jerry Jeff Walker, Townes Van Zandt, Steve Goodman, Eric Andersen, Steve Forbert, Matthew Sweet and Shawn Mullins.

An 80-track collection featuring some of the greatest love songs from the 40s, 50s and 60s, put together by the stellar aficionado, John Alexander.

Folk Rock

Four Decades of Folk Rock (Time-Life Records)

Liner Notes, Co-producer
My reunion disc with co-producer Ted Myers takes up where Troubadours leaves off and travels the Middle of the Dirt Road for another thirty years. With great tracks by the Byrds, Donovan, the Lovin' Spoonful, and, of course, "Like a Rolling Stone" by Bob Dylan, the disc on the 1960s covers everything you'd expect. Over the next three decades, more gems abound, including licensing coups from Bonnie Raitt, Fleetwood Mac, CSN, the Grateful Dead, Sarah McLachlan, the Indigo Girls, John Hiatt and more.
